Website : https://www.inchdumbbells.co.uk/store/p/gripper | 3 | **Holle Grip Power Grippers** are Nathan Holle's numbered hand grippers, sold through the Holle Grip equipment business at inchdumbbells.co.uk. The range comprises five levels, numbered 1 to 5. The business describes its equipment as UK-made, and customer purchases of the grippers are documented by August 2024.[^1][^2][^3]

## Background and early sales | |
||
Nathan Holle is a Welsh grip athlete who certified on the Captains of Crush No. 4 in 2003. His experience with heavy grippers substantially predates his own branded range.[^4] | |
||
In a 2021 interview with Grip & Bend Italia, Holle dated his introduction to mainstream grippers to around 1999 or 2000. He recalled ordering a No. 3 and No. 4 while still unable to close a No. 2, then experimenting with training methods alongside his brothers. He said those early grippers, bought when they were supplied in plastic bags, were still in use at the time of the interview.[^5] | |
||
An early public record of the Holle range appeared on the GripBoard on 30 August 2024. Steve Gardener, posting as **mobsterone**, reported discovering a photograph shared from Instagram, contacting Nathan, and buying Levels 3 and 5. Gardener thought their appearance resembled Warren Tetting's grippers. This was an owner's visual comparison, not evidence that Tetting manufactured them. The thread establishes that customers were buying the range by that date, rather than establishing an exact launch date.[^3] | |
||
## Construction and identification | |
||
The manufacturer's photograph shows conventional torsion-spring grippers with straight, knurled metal handles and dark-colored springs. One handle end carries the level number; the other carries a dragon motif. The Welsh dragon marking was also noted in an April 2025 owner discussion.[^1][^6] | |
||
Appearance has not been identical across all reported examples. In October 2025, owner **Xiadi** described a purchased set with polished handle ends, laser-marked numbers and steel-colored springs. Those observations document that particular batch and should not be treated as specifications for every Holle gripper.[^7] | |
||
## Levels and reported resistance | |
||
The numbers identify models within the Holle range, not equivalent models from another brand. The following historical figures were posted by GripBoard member **Blacksmith513** on 22 May 2025, attributed to information received from Nathan the previous November. They are secondhand reported ratings, not independently established production averages.[^8] | |
||
| Model | Reported rating, lb | | |
| --- | ---: | | |
| Level 1 | 85 | | |
| Level 2 | 132 | | |
| Level 3 | 179 | | |
| Level 4 | 207 | | |
| Level 5 | 242 | | |
||
For independently rated specimens, Matt Cannon reported on the same date that the Level 4s he had measured averaged **207 lb**, while his Level 5 measurements ranged from **233 to 264 lb**. He had not yet rated Levels 1 to 3.[^8] | |
||
The upper figure needs context: owner **Jared P** reported CPW-rated Level 5s of 258 and 264 lb, specially requested as heavier examples. Nathan had remounted the handles on the 264 lb gripper to achieve that resistance. It should not be read as the normal Level 5 rating.[^8] | |
||
For the meaning and limitations of this measurement, see [RGC ratings](/Gripper_Rating_Info/Rating_Types/RGC). | |
||
## Batch production and availability | |
||
The range has been offered in batches rather than with uninterrupted availability. In April 2025, a prospective buyer reported that Nathan was sold out and awaiting another batch. Later, on 20 November 2025, a customer reported receiving a shipping notification for Levels 2 and 3 preordered in April. These are dated customer accounts, not a current delivery estimate.[^6][^9] | |
||
The manufacturer's product page also carries a notice about a new batch being made and accepting preorders. Buyers should check the current listing or contact the maker for availability rather than rely on older forum stock reports.[^1] | |
