Gods of Grip is a British grip-equipment company whose Elite Series uses star-numbered torsion-spring grippers. The original documented series had seven levels; the current Elite Series v2 extends the range to eight.[1][2]

Development
The earliest Wayback Machine capture of the Elite Series product page is dated May 17, 2022. That version offered seven models, labeled 1 Star through 7 Star.[1] The current product is identified as Elite Series v2 and adds an 8 Star model.[2]
The model names form a progression rather than a statement of pound resistance. Gods of Grip currently describes 1 Star as the entry level and 8 Star as the top of the series, while 6 Star and 7 Star are the levels associated with its certification material.[2]
Construction
Both the archived original page and the current v2 listing describe:
- 20 mm aircraft-grade aluminum handles
- Medium to harsh knurling
- Hand-wound torsion springs
- A smooth black coating intended to resist rust
- Assembly by the Gods of Grip team
The 20 mm handle diameter is a deliberate feature of the Elite Series and is wider than the handles on many conventional torsion-spring grippers.[1][2]
Model progression
| Version | Documented levels | Archive evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Original Elite Series | 1 Star through 7 Star | Preserved May 17, 2022 |
| Elite Series v2 | 1 Star through 8 Star | Current product page |
The addition of the 8 Star is the clearest catalog distinction between the archived original lineup and the present v2 range. Appearance alone may not establish the resistance of an individual specimen, so the handle marking and, where available, an RGC rating should be recorded separately.
Specimen records
GripperVault contains individual collection entries for the Elite 6 and Elite 7. These records are useful for documenting specific examples without reproducing the manufacturer's certification lists.[3]
