Strongman Grips, also encountered as Strongman Gripz, were marketed in association with bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman. A December 2011 owner's review documents a nine-gripper set and preserves photographs, spring measurements and RGC results.[1]

Documented range

The set reviewed in 2011 contained models 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 300 and 350.[1]

The reviewer described medium handle knurling, dot-matrix-style number markings and spreads mostly between 2.5 and 2.75 inches.[1]

Labels and measured resistance

The same reviewer reported that the packaging described its resistance figures as measured at the middle of the handles. Their independently measured 250, 300 and 350 examples rated 128.1, 163.1 and 185.7 lb RGC respectively. This illustrates why the printed numbers should not be substituted for RGC measurements.[1]

A separate GripperVault record from bdhelms94 documents a Strongman Gripz 350, identified as the Ronnie Coleman version, with a 200 lb rating attributed to Cannon PowerWorks. It is another individual specimen, not a revision of the 2011 measurement.[2]

Historical source

The original review includes photographs of the grippers and packaging. It also notes a discrepancy: the package referred to ten resistances, while the reviewer found nine available on the seller's website. That does not establish the identity or release of a tenth model.[1]
