Credit Card Set
A credit-card set, abbreviated CCS, uses a card as a width gauge between the handle ends before the final close. The best-known standardized form is IronMind's Captains of Crush certification rule, which uses the short side of the official CoC card.
Procedure
The athlete may use the non-closing hand to position the gripper. Before the final squeeze, the required card must pass between the handle ends, visibly demonstrating that the gap is at least the card's specified width. The closing hand then completes the attempt under the governing rules.
A casual bank card is not automatically interchangeable with an official certification card. Card dimensions, orientation and demonstration requirements must match the relevant rule set.
IronMind certification
IronMind instructs referees and athletes to demonstrate clearly that the gap is at least as wide as the CoC card before the close.[1] The card rule creates a repeatable minimum starting width and is wider than a parallel or deep set.
CCS should describe the starting position, not imply official certification. An official result also requires the approved gripper, referee and all other current IronMind conditions.
Recording a CCS close
Show the gripper identity, full card pass and handle contact without cuts. State whether the card was the official CoC card or another gauge of known width.
