Vatiz

Vatiz is a retail name found on Rainbow-series torsion-spring hand grippers and an adjustable gripper. Surviving English-language documentation is limited, and the relationship between the Vatiz name, Rainbow Grip, and the Zoeun/Jouen Sports names used in older discussions is not fully established.[1][2]

Rainbow grippers

Marketplace listings document color-coded Rainbow grippers with advertised kilogram and pound ratings. One example is the blue model advertised at 56 kg [123.5 lb], while other listings document higher levels such as a silver 86 kg [190 lb] model.[2][3]

A 2013 GripBoard post described a Rainbow Twist gripper with one revolving handle, anodized handle colors, and a phosphate-coated spring. The writer associated the product with Zoeun Sports and discussed a 108 kg example.[1] That firsthand description is useful evidence for the design, but its resistance comparison is an owner's observation rather than a standardized measurement.

Documented collection examples include:

These names describe surviving specimens and finishes. They do not establish a complete production sequence.

Adjustable gripper

A separate Vatiz adjustable gripper uses two supplied springs and multiple mounting positions. Owners discussed the design on GripBoard by late 2013, describing a wide adjustment range and moderately sharp knurling.[4] As with other adjustable grippers, comparisons require the spring and handle positions to be recorded.

Identification and preservation

Rainbow products continued to appear through international marketplace listings after the earliest community discussions. Those listings are useful for photographs and advertised levels, but seller titles and specifications may change. A dated official catalog, company history, and reliable production chronology have not yet been located.

For that reason, this page separates documented examples from unverified assumptions about the manufacturer. Additional packaging photographs, dated catalogs, or Korean-language primary sources would materially improve the record.
